Age of War notes

AGE OF WAR (I reviewed it as a 9/10) is a defense game that works like Empire Earth - there are 5 ages, and you go through them using experience. The ages are as follows:
Caveman
Medieval
Renaissance
Modern
Futuristic (Apparently, when fish rule the earth..? Take a look at the base.)

The game is side/side. There are 2 bases, and soldiers go through the middle towards the enemy base. Once the soldiers are next to each other, they fight. Ranged units can shoot before getting close. There are 3 types of units: Melee (HP, close range), Ranged (Name says it), and Tank (HP, close ranged - strong).

The game is extremely unbalanced when it comes to ages to next/cost, because every next age costs more - but the units are only a little more powerful. Also, the enemy no matter what receives money - if you just milk them (In following guide), they keep coming. However, the game is very addictive and fun.

Beating the game seems difficult, but it isn't. I have made the following guide (For difficulty Normal).

WARNING: GUIDE FOLLOWING - Spoilers may be given. If you wish to beat the game on your own, do not read the following.

CAVEMAN (start)
Not that hard. Just make a Dino-rider and lots of cavemen. Just keep it coming - whenever you can, make another dino. Once Experience has reached high enough, press the star.
MEDIEVAL
Start with a bunch of footmen, but eventually reach a pattern similar to this: Knight, archer, foot, foot, archer, archer, foot, etc. Once Experience has reached high enough, press the star.
RENAISSANCE
The gunmen are the best here - start with lots of them. This is the point where you should consider making turrets - give them just some soldiers, then hold off. When the enemy gets close enough, send in some soldiers. Eventually, you will get enough money to buy turrets. Be sure to buy spots FOR the turrets - costing at 1000, 3000, and 7500. Once Experience has reached high enough, press the star.
MODERN
This is when things get interesting. Use a similar type of group from earlier - Some melee, some ranged, etc. However, hold back - once the enemy gets close enough, bomb them with the super attack. Once you have enough money, sell the old turrets and but new ones - be sure to get the first and third one, they are the best (Faster, strong.). Only use tanks if needed - the basic soldiers are good enough. Once Experience has reached high enough, press the star.
FUTURE (Final)
Congratulations for reaching the final age! This is when the advantage is yours. Just send a few soldiers - same order - and get money. When the enemy gets too close, use the satellite laser super attack. Once again, sell old turrets - only this time, keep half of them. Replace the sold ones with the first or third turrets. (IT is possible you will have to fight awhile to get the third...) If you have the correct setup, you wont even need to buy soldiers - if they get close enough, the enemies will just die. The following tactic is known as "milking" - they keep coming, you get richer. Once money is high enough, buy 3 super soldiers. (Cost for all: 450000) Make sure to time this strike - do it when the enemy is close. Use the super attack to rid the enemy - that way, you clear a path for the super soldiers. Then, just watch the enemy fall.

This is just a sample strategy, one that I used during my first run. This is NOT the ONLY way to win. Happy gaming!
